And they won't ever be the facetanking type, sure.but they aren't intrinsically squishy beyond remedy. So, if you spec for glass cannon, yes they are. With Spear Brigand, the thing is "why defend against the corpses I just created?". And Mandrake is an awesome defensive skill - the affected enemies attack their imaginary fiends and not you. Casters next, ant then I finish off those stappy wee slashy types that try to get my attention. AoEs and archers, however, should be priority targets. That 1.5k already makes melee attacks against them pretty. And since Raganrök brought The Crow into the game, it's no issue whatsoever, even 2k would be possible - though somewhat redundant. Brigands could reach 1.5k DA - even in TQ-IT with a bit of gear. Synergies are not that great, but Runeword: Feather is awesome if you go melee, dual throwing is unlocked via Reckless Offense. Rogue/Dream should work well (Trance aura, Distort Reality, Phantom Strike) and give you some nice passives and battlefield-zapping. Rogue/Defense would have slightly less trouble - Shield procs also shake up them bonesies, but won't help you much with ranged attacks.also, Shield Charge can be nice! On the other hand, Weapon Training is nice for a melee Rogue - no matter which LMB base attack you use. But, yeah, you'd have to go down the Onslaught tree for that to get good.
Rogue/Warfare is a pretty safe bet with melee weapons - your physical base damage will produce a lot of bone meal and splinters. So you'll probab-maybe have a hard time in Legendary. skellies, but the INT you need to make Earth float doesn't help you in any way whatsoever with your rogue-ish side. Also, Plague synchs sweetly with Rogue, for sure. Wolves are strong if you support them via rings etc.
Rogue/Nature has no issues if you go petmancer - doggies just love to chew bones, don't they :D
